Sixteen characters. That is Amazon's number and not mine, and it is the entire shape of this page: whatever gorgeous three-word epic the rest of this search result hands you, the box you are about to type it into holds sixteen and not one more.
So this one builds a lore-true first name, a surname Lost Ark will never ask you for, and a title your raid would hold against you — and then tells you plainly which of those three is actually claimable. It is the first name. It is always the first name.
Amazon publishes the rule, and almost nobody quotes it
Straight from Amazon Games' own support article on character management, under Naming Guidelines: a name runs 2–16 characters, it may use letters, numbers and single spaces, and it cannot start or end with a space. That is the whole published rule.
Which means a two-word name is perfectly legal in Lost Ark — it simply has to fit in sixteen, and across three thousand measured rolls only twelve per cent of them do. So the claim button hands you the first name, which fits on every roll, and the counter under the controls tells you where you stand.
There is no published capitalisation rule and no published banned-word list, only a line saying offensive names are prohibited. Where Amazon says nothing, this page says nothing, and if you think that is a low bar you have not read the competition.
The merges did NOT do what everybody thinks they did
This is the bit that is quietly wrong on every naming list for this game, and it is a lovely example of two entirely different operations being called the same word by the same publisher.
A server merge does nothing whatsoever to your character names. Amazon's 2026 article rules on Jukebox tracks and Trophy Room music, system by system, and never once mentions names — because a server merge combines your roster with itself, and you cannot collide with yourself.
A region merge is the one with teeth: duplicate names are reset, the loser is prompted to rename at next login, and colliding guilds get a prefix and a free rename ticket. Different operation, different policy. And the 2026 server merges are already behind us — 26 August and 9 September. Nobody is coming for your name.
Twenty continents, twenty-nine advanced classes, and one honest question
Arkesia names itself in compound English with a regional accent, so the continent steers the surname and it steers it hard. Rohendel comes out fae, Yorn comes out dwarvish, Arthetine comes out industrial and Punika comes out tropical, because they should.
Seven archetypes and twenty-nine advanced classes sit on top of that, and a great many of the twenty-nine are gender-locked. That is precisely why counterpart classes keep arriving, and every counterpart is a whole fresh character that somebody has to sit there and name.
Then the heaviest dial on the page, and the one I am proudest of: what this character is actually FOR. Main, raid alt, gold earner, bank mule, abandoned reroll. Six slots and a shared gold economy mean most Lost Ark characters are not heroes, they are JOBS.
The title never goes in the box, and that is the point of it
332 titles, every last one tone-tagged, running from Bearer of the Second Ark at the dignified end down to who Smells of Wet Rope at the other. Drag the die towards whatever you are prepared to be seen under and the entire register moves with it.
Not one of them is constrained by sixteen characters, because not one of them goes anywhere near the creation screen. Guild chat, a party-finder blurb, a video handle. The name is the half you claim and the title is the half you wear.
There are 32 curated pairs sitting in here as well, hand-made and hand-capped to fit, for the mornings when pressing a button four hundred times is beyond you. I made those personally and I would like it noticed.
Behind the Full Send corner is the ninth failed hone
It is off by default, it switches itself off again when you leave, and behind it are 66 entries that exist nowhere else on this site: Artisan's Energy at ninety-nine per cent, Destruction Stones hoarded until they went off, Mokoko Seeds prised out of a hedge, the Stronghold cellar nobody has opened since Tuesday.
None of it is anatomical and none of it is a swear. It is simply damp, and faintly agricultural, and something has been sitting in that honing bucket since the first time you went to Vern and it has not improved.
The titles cost you nothing at all, because titles never touch a game field. The NAME does, and it goes into a field Amazon moderate under a rule they publish and a list they do not. So read it before you paste it, and do not come to me afterwards.
Naming an alt somewhere else this week
Lost Ark players tend to keep a second world going, and none of these pages borrows a single syllable from another — which I checked, in every direction, twice, because nobody else was going to.
Try the World of Warcraft generator if the alt is going somewhere with twenty years of naming habit behind it, Black Desert Online if it is going somewhere that wants a family name as well as a character one, or Ragnarok Zero: Global if it is going somewhere with rules entirely of its own.
Each of those has its own axes, its own titles and its own view of what a name is allowed to be. This page keeps Arkesia: the twenty continents, the twenty-nine classes, and the sixteen characters you have to make it all fit inside.
